I knew of xkcd before but it took until now for me to run through the archives. It’s a very nice comic about math, perspective, and things only a physics guy like Randall Munroe can talk about.

I remember speaking to my mathematical friend Sky about how we could theoretically make a defense shield around our planet by blowing up the moon. I also had the idea that the best way for aliens to conquer us would be to pool ball our moon into us. He told me that this could be accomplished if the aliens sent an object of equal mass and speed into it, causing the moon to lose it’s momentum and come crashing down into us.

That made me laugh a lot.
